Description

1786 New Jersey Copper. Maris 16-L, W-4840. Rarity-2. Protruding Tongue. VF-20 (PCGS).
136.8 grains. 27.3 mm. Struck on an interesting oblong planchet. Late die state, with a substantial cud visible over RE of CAESAREA, Die State 3. Golden olive with decent surfaces, a bit bright from an old cleaning. Some marks at central reverse but pleasing and well preserved overall.
