Description

Fr. 1932-B*. 2006 $1 Federal Reserve Star Note. New York. PCGS Currency Extremely Fine 45 PPQ. Mismatched Serial Numbers.
Replacement error notes are always popular among collectors, and this broadly margined example is no exception. Serial numbers B06717894* & B26717894*. The first number of the serial is off, which was caused by a press operator failing to set the same sequence of numbers on the two different numbering wheels prior to initializing a print run, as mentioned by Dr. Frederick J. Barts' book United States Paper Money Errors.
From the Mismacthed Serial Number Collection.
Estimate: $1000.00- $1500.00
