Description

Fr. 708*. 1918 $1 Federal Reserve Bank Star Note. Boston. PCGS Banknote Choice Uncirculated 63 PPQ. Low Serial Number.
A significant 1918 One Dollar Federal Reserve Bank Note offering on several fronts. This Boston Teehee - Burke, Bullen - Morss variety is represented by just 14 known replacements per the Track and Price census. The quality is also worthy of note as it stands alone as the single finest PCGS Banknote has certified. Appealing embossing of the overprints is seen through the third party holder. We sold the consecutive note to this piece in our October 2018 Baltimore sale for $7,500, and that example was in a PCGS Currency Choice New 64PPQ grade. PCGS Banknote Pop 1/None Finer.
From the Boston Proper Collection.
Estimate: $7000.00- $9000.00
