Fr. 353. 1890 $2 Treasury Note. PMG Very Fine 25.
A difficult denomination to acquire for the Ornate Back series of 1890. At right is a portrait vignette of General McPherson, with a "2" die counter at left. The backs are always the focal point as the full note design incorporated stunning geometric devices with a large TWO at center clarifying the denomination.
