Tuskegee, Alabama. Tuskegee Insurance Co. 1862 $1. PMG Very Fine 25. Remainder.
Rosene UNL. Plate A. Remainder. Aug. 26, 1862. Appealing panels at both sides with a pair of “1” protectors and a central “ONE” protector found in bright red ink. The obligation states that it is payable “in Confederate Treasury notes…” PMG has been kind enough to acknowledge the obvious, with their comment “Selvage Included.” Only 10-cent and 25-cent notes are listed in Rosene. This is the only example we have seen and, although we are reticent to proclaim it to be unique, it is incredibly rare in any event.
