1881 Yorktown Centennial Medal. By Peter L. Krider. Musante GW-963, Baker-452A. Bronze. Specimen-65 RB (PCGS).
50 mm. Abundant mint orange color is particularly pronounced on the obverse of this premium quality specimen. Pretty rose-brown patina is also seen, more so on the reverse, the fields reflective and supporting smartly impressed design elements. A faint obverse carbon spot at the date is the only blemish of note to nicely preserved, fully Gem quality surfaces. Sure to have no difficulty finding its way into an advanced Washingtoniana cabinet.
