1901-S Liberty Head Eagle. MS-67 (NGC).
A virtually pristine 1901-S eagle that will be just right for inclusion in a high quality gold type set. Both sides of this lovely coin are fully struck with razor sharp detail from the rims to the centers. Bathed in satiny mint luster and vivid reddish-orange color, to look upon this piece is to admire both its advanced technical quality and outstanding eye appeal. Among a relatively tiny group of Superb Gem survivors from a sizable mintage of more than 2.8 million coins, this Condition Census 1901-S ten is absolutely worthy of the assigned grade. One would be hard pressed to find a better Mint State example in today's market.
