Description
Undated (ca. 1860) Washington - Pro Patria Ejusque Libertate Medal. By George Hampden Lovett. Musante GW-353, Baker-271. Silver. MS-63 (NGC).
21 mm. Semi-prooflike surfaces are beautifully toned in iridescent steel and olive-gray. This is a fully struck and nicely preserved example of a Washington medallic type that is infrequently seen in any metal, but particularly rare in silver.
