Obverse: Garlanded bust right, in military attire; Reverse: Seminude female allegories of Victory and Liberty: Victory stands facing, head left, holding sword and palm frond, and protecting Liberty sleeping to right upon pile of military instruments. Edge : Plain. Light pewter gray surfaces, with great relief and some hints of brilliance residing in the protected areas. A SCARCER and rather alluring type from the beginning of Napoleon's period as consul.
