Description

Confederate Bond. Ball 13. Cr. 2A. 1861. $100. Very Fine.

(R: 6+). "Montgomery" crossed out and replaced with "Richmond." No. 555. Andrew Jackson is depicted at upper center flanked by "100" counters. Imprint of American Bank Note Co., New Orleans at bottom (although this examples was actually printed at ABNC's New York location). Appealing embossing of the stamped seal is still noticed. Staining, internal tears, holes and mounting remnants are noticed. The back section has been filled out, although some of the lines typically filled in are found blank (and interestingly cotton bonds has been written in).

Estimate: $800.00 - $1200.00
