(PA-255 G4a) Plate B. ABNC. Printed in black with red-brown tints. Cherub at top left. Girl with two calves at center. Male portrait bottom right. Tinted V protectors at upper right and left of central vignette. Tinted die with pledge at left. Tinted die counter 5 at top right. Red-brown FIVE DOLLARS in micro letters repeating in signature panel. Haxby just listed a $5 and $10 design for this rare bank which became the Mifflin County National Bank of Lewiston, charter #1579. PMG notes Paper Pulls. We sold this same note for $1,140 in our 2017 November Baltimore sale. A rare Civil War era Obsolete.
