1904 Liberty Head Double Eagle. MS-65 (NGC).

A desirable Gem showcasing a beautiful blend of honey-gold and yellow gold color with sharp detail throughout. Superior in every respect and new to the market after nearly three decades. This is the highest mintage circulation strike double eagle of the Liberty Head design type at 6,256,699 pieces. However, this issue saw significant exporting and melting, and only about 1% survive in Gem grades for today's collectors. This is among the finest survivors and is sure to generate excitement among astute bidders.
