GREAT BRITAIN. Penny, ND (ca. 1248-50). Canterbury Mint; Willem, moneyer. Henry III. PCGS MS-62.
S-1364; N-988. Long Cross type, class 3c. Obverse: Crowned facing head; Reverse: Voided long cross, with trefoils in angles. Absolutely marvelous, this emission of Henry III is beautifully struck and well centered on an excellently proportioned flan. Hints of tangerine orange and electric blue illuminate the fine details of this piece. Unequalled by any other coin listed on the PCGS population report, this is specimen is a true stunner.
