GALBA, A.D. 68-69. AR Denarius, Rome Mint. NGC Ch F. Scratches.

RIC-186; RSC-55. Obverse: Laureate head right; Reverse: Diva Julia Augusta (Livia) standing left, holding patera and scepter. This nicely centered Denarius gives an attractive rainbow tone near the peripheries. Some light scratching as noted, along with some planchet roughness, but a nevertheless popular and difficult issue.
