EPEIROS. Ambrakia. AR Stater (8.31 gms), ca. 360-336 B.C. NGC Ch EF, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 2/5. Smoothing.
HGC-3.1, 214; Pegasi-115; Ravel-176 (A77/P117). Obverse: Pegasos flying right; Reverse: Helmeted head of Athena right; thistle to left. This RARE and rather choice Pegasos issue is boldly struck and detailed, with only a hint of wear on the uppermost elements of the design. Some light smoothing is present on the reverse.
