ITALY. Lucania. Thourioi . AR Distater (15.25 gms), ca. 400-350 B.C. NGC VF, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 3/5. Overstruck.

HGC-1, 1255; HN Italy-1803. Obverse: Helmeted head of Athena right; Reverse: Bull butting right; in exergue, fish right. This example is nicely centered on the flan and is well struck. Wear is evident on this overstruck example, but it remains charming.
