MACEDON. Kingdom of Macedon. Philip III, 323-317 B.C. AV Stater (8.62 gms), Lampsakos Mint. NGC AU, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 3/5. Brushed.
Pr-1370. In the name and types of Alexander III. Obverse: Helmeted head of Athena right; Reverse: Nike standing left, holding wreath and stylis; in left field, buckle left; monogram below left wing. Quite well centered and boldly struck, with a good deal of flashy brilliance and very little of the noted brushing observed.
