The Intercolonial Railway of Canada's "Ocean Limited" passenger train is depicted at center, which runs approximately 836 miles; from Montreal to Halifax. Large "FIVE" counters are seen at left and right of the design, with ornate guilloches found in the upper corners showing "5"s within. Dark blue undertint is noticed on the obverse along with a dark countersigned signature at left. The reverse of the note displays a large Roman numeral at center, with "5" counters at left and right. Seldom encountered in this Gem state of preservation, and this example is sure to draw spirited bidding from Canadian Paper Money collectors seeking a high end example of this lovely Five Dollar note.
