FRANCE. Louis d'Or, 1723-&. Aix Mint. Louis XV. NGC Unc Details--Salt Water Damage.

Fr-459; KM-468.21; Gad-338. A boldly struck gold issue, this example presents a lovely specimen that is free from any wear. Some saltwater corrosion from this piece's time underwater has left its mark on the surfaces. Holdered with certified provenance from the wreck of Le Chameau, a French naval ship that sank off the coast of Nova Scotia in 1725.
