Seltman-Group L; HGC-4, 1589. Obverse: Helmeted head of Athena right; Reverse: Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig to left; all within incuse square. Struck from a rather worn obverse die, this example nevertheless stands as a great representative from the archaic period, presenting the more stylized design that would become standardized during the ensuing century.
