Portrait of Vasco da Gama at left. Sailing ships at sea seen at right sailing towards the rising sun at center. The reverse displays an intricate design with "500" counters at left and right, with arms at center. This note from the plate "N", which were erroneously printed by ABNC for Alves Reis who produced false Bank of Portugal authorization. Toning is noticed along with minor thinning and margin blemishes.
