Description

CANADA. Lot of (8). Bank of Canada. 1 to 1000 Dollars, 1937. BC-21s to 28s. Specimens. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.

This group contains the complete set for the 1937 Series of notes. Included are BC-21S-i (narrow panel) 1 Dollar; BC-22S 2 Dollars; BC-23S 5 Dollars; BC-24S 10 Dollars; BC-25S 20 Dollars; BC-26S 50 Dollars; BC-27S 100 Dollars; and BC-28s 1000 Dollars. All specimens are in PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 grades, with PMG noting "Previously Mounted" on all. Five of the notes are seen with four hole punch cancellations, while all are seen with perforation cancellations. The reverse of each note depicts detailed designs of various allegorical figures and scenes.
Collectors will have a rare opportunity tonight to acquire the entire 1937 King George VI set of specimens. Usually these notes are piecemealed out, leaving collectors to hunt for years to complete their set.
