1794 Liberty Cap Cent. S-56. Rarity-3. Head of 1794. EF Details--Environmental Damage (NGC).
The popular "Office Boy Reverse" variety, so named for the crudely engraved and haphazard placement of the reverse wreath and legends. Boldly struck and well detailed for a variety that often comes weakly impressed due to misaligned dies. The detail here is strong throughout including the vast majority of the border dentils which are rarely seen to this extent. Medium brown surfaces are just lightly porous and there are a few obverse scratches.
