1787 Fugio Copper. Pointed Rays. Newman 11-X, W-6790. Rarity-4. STATES UNITED, 4 Cinquefoils. AU-58 (PCGS).

Small straight clip at 2 o'clock. Lovely deep chocolate-brown surfaces with some trivial planchet flaking on the reverse. An exceptionally sharp sun face. Strong clash marks, as typical for this variety, one of those among the famous Bank of New York hoard coins, the likely source of this piece long ago.
