1788 Vermont Copper. RR-29, Bressett 22-U, W-2220. Rarity-5. Bust Right. VG-10 (PCGS).
A variety of considerable rarity and an equally high level of popularity due to its dramatic obverse die break that is characteristic of all known examples. This decent specimen offers pleasing color in blended medium brown and olive, with an overall presentable appearance thanks to the full legends and discernible date. As well, the central design elements are mostly outlined. The surfaces are moderately granular and show a few ancient pin scratches on both sides. Still, this coin is of higher quality than many survivors from these dies.
