1787 Vermont Copper. RR-12, Bressett 11-K, W-2110. Rarity-3+. Bust Right--Overstruck on a Nova Constellatio Copper--EF-45 (PCGS).
An impressive overstruck example with bold undertype from the Nova Constellatio host coin including a clear all-seeing eye and rays at the central obverse and much of the 1785 date and wreath above at the upper reverse. The surfaces are attractive light olive-brown and golden-tan, smooth, hard and showing just a few trivial old marks on the reverse. There is just light wear on the highpoints of the devices and the fields retain traces of mint frost through the legends.
