Choice surfaces and color on this impressive near-Gem Virginia halfpenny. Full semi-prooflike luster in the fields with satiny devices. Even chocolate-brown toning and there are bursts of mint red in some of the protected areas. The strike is well centered and bold throughout. A highly attractive coin to represent this historic type.
