Pleasing mid-grade quality for the type with good fullness of detail and ideal two-tone gray color. Noe-16 is always a popular choice for collectors due to its well laid out dies and usual high production quality. This piece has a slightly off-center obverse which affects a portion of the word IN, but the entirety of the design otherwise is firmly struck, well balanced, and just evenly worn. Surfaces show light porosity at the lower obverse and to a lesser degree in the fields elsewhere, but the arms-length appearance is that of a smooth and attractive coin. A handsome representative of this historic coinage.
