Counterstamps
H.B. WOOLL(S or EY) on an 1806 B-3 Draped Bust quarter. Brunk-Unlisted, Rulau-Unlisted. Host coin Very Good, but holed.
Undoubtedly an early stamp with a period type square hole from the coin being nailed up either above a doorway or on a ship for luck. A look through cemetery listings brings a possible person, Henry B. Woolls who was born in 1819.
