Counterstamps
J J P (script) in a large serrated box punch on a 1798 Draped Bust large cent. Brunk-Unlisted, Rulau-Unlisted. Host coin About Good.
A large and impressive, but primitive stamp. It is interesting due to several factors such as the script letters used and the serrated box that is unlike any others known. Also known on an 1819 Capped Bust half dollar owned by the consignor.
