Levi P. Knerr (1821-1876) was a machinist working in Reading, PA starting in the early 1850s and working until he passed away in 1876. Knerr was a veteran of the Mexican war serving with Capt. George Thomas, Co. A, 2nd U.S. Art. He eventually reached the rank of Colonel. An example with this date is not listed in Brunk.
