(HAMMER) / JM DOE on an 1843 Braided Hair large cent. Brunk-Unlisted, Rulau-Unlisted. Host coin Very Good.

An intriguing stamp showing the tool of the trade for the issuer of this stamp. This is the mark of James M. Doe, a blacksmith working in Corinth, VT during the 1850s and 60s.
