Description
Liberty Head Half Eagle
1854-D Liberty Head Half Eagle. Large D. EF-45 (PCGS).
Warm orange-gold surfaces are accented by traces of violet patina in the protected areas. Significant luster glows from the fields on both sides, lending a complexion that approaches the AU level in many respects. Well struck and free of any individual distractions. It is one of just about 275 survivors from a mintage of 56,413.
