The 1878-S is readily obtainable in most Mint State grades, providing many collectors with the opportunity to acquire an attractive example of this historic silver dollar. On the other hand, coins that grade above MS-66+ or finer are scarce to rare, confirming the significance of this offering for quality conscious Morgan dollar enthusiasts.
