54 mm. Handsome silver-gray surfaces are appreciably reflective in the fields, with the design elements boldly rendered with a soft satin texture. There are no singularly mentionable blemishes. Medals of this type were published by the Chapman brothers in 1889, in celebration of the centennial anniversary of Washington's inauguration. The obverse bust was from an engraved punch accomplished by Charles Cushing Wright in 1853.
