1862 Abraham Lincoln Indian Peace Medal. First Size. Second Reverse. Julian IP-38, Prucha-51, Cunningham 22-020Bz, King-520. Bronzed Copper. Mint State.

75.7 mm. 2933.7 grains. A really handsome specimen with glossy deep brown surfaces that exhibit a trace of light mahogany and tan speckling. Gently prooflike and with minimal handling. The only notable marks are small rim bumps on the reverse, but they are not terribly distracting on this otherwise very nice medal. In fact, it is nicer looking than the one sold in our November 2020 Ness Collection, graded MS-62 by NGC. That medal brought $2,160.
