Outstanding Hudson's Bay Medal in Bronze

Undated (ca. 1820) George III Hudson's Bay Company Indian Peace Medal. Eimer-1120, BHM-1062, Jamieson Fig. 20. Copper, Bronzed. Very Choice Mint State.

48.0 mm. 874.0 grains. An exceptional specimen with exquisite reddish chocolate brown surfaces and boldly prooflike fields. A few extremely faint hairlines are noted in the fields, but this is just about as nice an example as is likely to be found. Struck from a cracked reverse die, as usual, with a small series of breaks connecting the rim to the fox at 12:00.
