SYRIA. Seleukid Kingdom. Antiochos VII Sidetes, 138-129 B.C. AR Tetradrachm (16.58 gms), Uncertain mint, possibly in Syria, Northern Mesopotamia, or Cilicia. NGC EF, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 4/5. Marks.

cf. SC-2084. Obverse: Diademed head right; Reverse: Athena standing left, holding spear and crowning Nike; to inner left, A above A; all within wreath. Quite well centered and lightly toned, this pleasing piece only exhibits the minor marks near the obverse peripheries as its distractions.
