SYRIA. Seleukid Kingdom. Antiochos III (the Great), 223-187 B.C. AR Tetradrachm (16.96 gms), Uncertain mint, possibly Antioch on the Orontes. CHOICE VERY FINE.

SC-1063; HGC-9, 447v. Obverse: Diademed head right; Reverse: Apollo, testing arrow and resting hand upon bow, seated left upon omphalos; monogram to outer left. Though struck somewhat off-center, this pleasing example offers an enchanting tone and some hints of brilliance, along with only light, even wear on the high points.
