MACEDON. Under the Romans. AR Tetradrachm (16.99 gms), Uncertain mint, Aesillas (Quaestor, ca. 95-70 B.C.). NGC MS★, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 5/5.

SNG Cop-1327; HGC-3.1, 1110. Obverse: Head of the deified Alexander the Great right; monogram to right; Reverse: Money chest, club, and chair; AESILLAS above; all within wreath. Incredibly lustrous and shimmering, this example is wholly worthy of its star designation and exhibits a golden-champagne tone highlighting the devices. A vibrant and extremely attractive specimen with great eye appeal.
