Indian Half Eagle
1913-S Indian Half Eagle. MS-62+ (PCGS). CAC.
This is a gorgeous example of a challenging San Francisco Mint entry in the Indian half eagle series. Toned in a rich orange-gold, the surfaces are originally preserved with strong luster and supremely attractive at the assigned grade level. Boldly struck with a discernible S mintmark to boot. Ranking ahead of the 1911-S and 1916-S, among other issues in this series, the 1913-S is the ninth rarest of 24 circulation strike Indian half eagles in terms of total number of Mint State coins known. This uncommonly attractive MS-62+ represents an important find for the astute collector.
