"1786" Nova Constellatio Copper. Electrotype Copy Made from a 1785 Nova Constellatio Copper.
155.1 grains. This interesting piece was made from a 1785 Nova Constellatio copper of the CONSTELLATIO, Pointed Rays Guide Book variety, the date altered to simulate the rare 1786 issue. Dominant medium brown patina with some of the underlying metal evident on the high points in and around the centers. A bit crude, yet well defined overall, a tiny dig in the left reverse field is the only mark worth of individual mention.
