Civil War and Confederacy
Civil War Identification Tag. Unissued. UNION Shield, AGAINST REBELLION 1861. Maier-Stahl 2A. Copper. MS-65 BN (NGC).
30 mm. Obv: Federal shield inscribed UNION in center with peripheral inscription AGAINST REBELLION and date 1861 below. Rev: Blank except for denticulated border and guide for piercing which, however, was not done. A gorgeous semi-prooflike Gem with iridescent undertones of pinkish-apricot and powder blue to dominant glossy brown patina.
