MACEDON. Kingdom of Macedon. Philip III, 323-317 B.C. AR Tetradrachm, Tyre Mint, Dated RY 29 of Azemilkos (321/0 BC). NGC VF.

Pr-3275 (Ake); HGC-3.1, 941 (Alexander IV). Struck under Laomedon, in the name and types of Alexander III. Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and scepter; in left field, -|O (Phoenician 'K = 'Ozmilk [king of Tyre]) above ||| ||| =/||| (Phoenician date [29]). A flashy example, though some scattered deposits are noted throughout.
