Lovely Inauguration of Hung Hsien as Emperor Dollar

L&M-942; K-663; KM-Y-332; Hsu-16; WS-0097. Obverse: Facing military bust of Yuan Shih-kai in tall plumed shako; Reverse: Imperial flying dragon. Struck for the inauguration of Hung Hsien as Emperor. A premium example of this always-popular type, displaying boldly struck designs and strong luster in the semi-reflective fields. Largely untoned, a few instances of yellow and brown tone appear here and there, but together, they fit well with the overall appearance. Few signs of handling on either side confirm the lofty grade, which should ultimately please its next owner.
