(KYJ-C510a) A trial proof of the 1999 100 Yuan note. Mao seen at right with watermark at left. Scarcely available and seldom offered through public auctions. This note closely resembles its issued counterpart, with the face printing found virtually identical, less the serial numbers and green "100" at bottom left, although it is embossed into the paper. The reverse, however, is missing the building and columns vignette, along with the overprint at top right, along with the three denominations found on the issued notes reverse. Mounting remnants seen on the reverse. PCGS GSG comments "Hinged, Ink Annotation."
