George VI (1936-52), silver proof Halfcrown, 1937, Coronation issue, bare head left, HP below truncation for designer Humphry Paget, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX, rev. quartered shield of arms centre dividing interlocked cyphers either side, initials KG below for designer Kruger Gray, Latin legend continues above round, FID: DEF: IND: IMP, denomination and date HALF CROWN 1937 below round, edge milled, 14.14g (Bull 4053; ESC 787; S.4080). Practically as struck, graded by NGC as PF66.

NGC Certification 6382385-003

Calendar year mintage 25,000.

The Latin legend translates as "George the Sixth by the Grace of God, King of the Britons," on the obverse, following on the reverse with "Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
