DEI. GRATIA, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms, pillar with ribbon incuse motto either side PLUS VLTRA, legend surrounding, .HISPAN. ET IND. REX. M. 8R. F.M., mint letter with o above, 27.07g (Bull 1852; ESC 129; C&R 1069; S.3765A). Toned, more so around periphery resulting from some prior cleansing, coin and countermark extremely fine with some stress striations from countermarking on neck of bust on host coin adjacent to countermark, graded by NGC as UNC Details (Obverse Cleaned).

The initials F and M at the end of the reverse legend represent the names of the Mint Assayers who were Francisco Arance Cobos and Mariano Rodriguez.
