Victoria (1837-1901), 11-coin Specimen Set, 1887, Golden Jubilee issue, in contemporary fitted case, gold Five Pounds, Two Pounds, Sovereign, Half Sovereign, silver Crown, Double-Florin, Halfcrown, Florin, Shilling, Sixpence, Threepence, all on purple pad and silk lid inlay, edges milled (S.3864, 3865, 3866, 3869, 3921, 3923, 3924, 3925, 3926, 3928, 3929, 3931). Some coins with hairlines and bagmarks, the silver with appealing rainbow tone, particularly on the crown, the Halfcrown possibly once cleaned, otherwise all generally extremely fine or better.
The Latin legend on all coins translates as “Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith.”
