Description

Victoria (1837-1901), gold Sovereign, 1871, St. George reverse, young head left, WW on truncation for engraver William Wyon, Latin legend surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITANNIAR: REG: F: D:, rev. St. George and dragon right, date in exergue, small B.P. to upper right of exergue (Marsh 84; S.3856A). Fine example with light toning around the obverse legend, little residual lustre, but details still clear.

Calendar Year Mintage 8,767,250.
